WAC Bennett Dam Slope Stabilization
On March 25, 2011, Hall Constructors was awarded the contract to perform slope stabilization works above the spillway at BC Hydro’s WAC Bennett Dam near Hudson’s Hope, BC. This project will consist of blasting and excavating over 230,000 cubic yards of rock as well as installing anchors and shotcrete on the final slopes above the spillway. Upon completion of the blasting, protective rock mesh will be installed to further minimize the possibility of rock fall. This project is scheduled to be completed in November, 2011.

Osoyoos Passing Lanes
This project is located on Highway 97, 10km north of Osoyoos.
The objective of the works was to create northbound and southbound passing lanes on 2.80km new alignment with the existing highway becoming frontage road.
The major work carried out on this project is:
25,000 cubic metres of excavation
19,000 cubic metres of gravel
17,500 tonnes of paving
2.4 km of roadside cable barrier
Other components of this project include Quality Management, Environment Management, drainage, signage and intersection lighting.
The overall value of this project was $3,972,000.
