The Anthem Glover project involves the construction of an Automall Access road, including storm sewers, large underground detention system, water mains, curb & gutter, paving sidewalks, street lighting, traffic signals, and highway widening. The project is located at the busy intersection of Langley Bypass and Glover Road. After completion, the Automall will become one of City of Langley’s landmarks, selling high end luxury European make vehicles and is set to open in the summer of 2011. The large underground concrete storm water detention tank system, seventy meters in length and storing close to 4000m3 of storm water, is one of the most challenging and unique aspects of this large private development project.
Hall Constructors completed the site preparation and bulk excavation for Marcon Construction on the Portraits project in Burnaby. The work for this residential condo development involves diverting the existing underground utilities, bulk excavation of 17,000 m3, shoring, detail excavation and extending the existing creek through the property. The creek work was executed during the DFO’s fisheries window to minimize impact on the existing fish habitat.
The Great Northern Way Campus Lot “O” project involves clearing and grubbing and off-site disposal of vegetation and debris from the work area, installation and maintenance of erosion and sediment control facilities, stripping and earthworks for approximately 36,000 metric tonnes of road embankment construction, temporary lock-block retaining wall and retaining wall drainage.
Site servicing, utility installation and road works for a 34 lot residential subdivision located in Coquitlam.
Hall Constructors is completing this initial phase of offsite civil work for Marcon Construction, which will provide access to Ledingham McAllister's master planned Southgate City. The work will include a new access road, complete with storm, sanitary, water, BC Hydro and street light upgrades as well as a fully signalized intersection at Griffith's Drive.
Excavation and shoring for a senior care home living complex. This project included the construction or permanent shotcrete walls that were finished to match the natural rock outcrops in the area.
On & off-site servicing for a 91 unit townhouse site. The project consists of site servicing for a 91 unit townhouse site which includes 500m of new road construction, storm, sanitary and water services, electrical, hydro, Telus and cable connections. The project also consists of significant onsite earth works and approximately 100 lm of retaining construction.
Hall Constructors was contracted by Ventana Construction Corp. to complete the excavation and shoring for this new development which includes ground floor commercial with residential condos above. Since anchors could not be drilled at one corner of the site, Hall installed a steel bracing system to retain wall of the excavation. Hall also brought in additional equipment to break through the bedrock and boulders that were present at the bottom of the excavation.

This new UBC mixed development is managed by Ledcor Construction. The building will serve as residence and lecture hall for students. Excavation began in late January 2012, and was completed in May 2012. The total excavation volume of this phase was approximately 17,000m3. The challenges of this project were the pedestrian traffic management and aggressive schedule objectives.
