This site is located on 660 Quayside Drive, New Westminster. The scope included a very significant volume of bulk excavation and contaminated soil disposal along with demolition and sheet piling works.

Project Highlights
This project had several site constraints. The main constraint of this project is the CN Rail directly at its northwest boundary and the Fraser River at its southeast boundary.
Hall’s scope involved site prep & removals, excavating at least 20,000 cubic meters of contaminated (IL+) material, and 100,000 cubic meters of additional bulk & detail excavation.
This project was complex in nature with many separate sequences of work required. Examples of such include backfilling a portion of the foreshore inside the steel pile wall, demolition of over 300 meters of wooden pier (including removal of around 400 wooden piles), removal of historic building foundation and piles.
To add to the challenges, this work needs to be done while allowing public pedestrian access via a pathway through the middle of the site. Deep excavations and the extensive use of sheet piling were required.
